Bucky Covington’s New Single Strikes A Chord With Country Radio
NASHVILLE, TN / March 17, 2010 – With a self-titled debut album that has gone on to sell nearly 500 thousand copies and a string of top 10 hits including “A Different World,” “It’s Good To Be Us” and “I’ll Walk,” Lyric Street recording artist Bucky Covington is now back at country radio with his brand new single “A Father’s Love (The Only Way He Knew How).” In just 2 short weeks, the track is already striking a huge chord with programmers, fans and critics alike. The buzz amongst country radio is that this is Bucky’s best song yet and the overwhelmingly positive chatter keeps coming in.

"It's the best thing Bucky has ever done! Powerful."
-- Rick McCracken, WSOC/Charlotte

"Thanks for smearing my makeup this morning! What a song! Drying my tears and doing an airshift."
-- Tanya Burko, WGGY/Wilkes-Barre

“Tears literally dripped from my eyes as it played. A PERFECT song!"
-- Stoney Richards, WDSY/Pittsburgh

"A #1 song...and I don't say that lightly. His best song, yet!"
-- Carol Hughes, KFDI/Wichita
“It touched me and hit home, which it will do with many...you have a hit.”
-- Bob Mitchell WLFF/Myrtle Beach
Written by Liz Hengber, Thom Shepherd and Steve Williams, this heartfelt mid-tempo song tells the story of a father who shows his children how much he loves them by taking care of all the little things in life. The record is from his forthcoming sophomore album, I’m Alright, to be released in fall 2010 on Lyric Street Records. Recently, “A Father’s Love,” was featured as an exclusive FIRST LISTEN on PEOPLE.COM and can still be previewed on the site.
Bucky Covington is currently on the road visiting radio and playing tour dates all across the country with upcoming shows in Fletcher, N.C. (3/26), Mt. Airey, N.C. (3/27), Florence, S.C. (4/2), Midway Park, N.C. (4/9) and Mt. Laurel, N.J. (4/10) in the coming weeks.

Flash Post

Thanks to American Idol Archives for out two shots of Bucky today from the Top 12 week when he sand "Superstition". Video at the end of this post.

Remember Simon just loved Bucky doing this song and the only thing he commented on was the "Jessica Simpson" hair. Personally, we loved it.

Country Aircheck has an enormous ad supporting Bucky's latest single, " A Father's Love (The Only Way He Knew How.)" This song is getting rave reviews from all of the DJs who have played and from the audiences that have heard it.

It is time to get those dialing fingers working out by calling your local DJ and requesting it. Remember that your night DJs will be more receptive to a new song but it sure doesn't hurt to hit the morning and afternoon DJs also.

Thanks to BuckyKrazy for this bright and love AFL request banner! Buckymania Twittered about AFL being this week Billboard's "Hot Shot Debut."

See you soon! ~Fran & Renee

Flash Post (3-10-10)

Thanks to Mr. Diver for this fun shot of Bucky from a summer past.

While we all love the smaller, intimate venues for close up shows with Bucky Covington, these may be a thing of the past for our rising country favorite. In Forked River, New Jersey, a large crowd of 4-5 times capacity appeared at the Shark Finn Inn tonight and the local police came and CLOSED down the acoustical performance midway due to "over population". Such a sad thing because we know the police would have loved the show if they had just listened for a minute before shutting the place down.

GREAT interview by Cindy Wright on Associated Content. Remember your GAC vote and check the left sidebar for Bucky's updated Tour Schedule and your daily requests for "A Father's Love"

See you soon!
